Kavitha is a trauma-informed psychologist whose work lies at the intersection of mental health, emotional regulation, physiological functioning, and hormonal transitions. With over two years of experience in private practice, she works with adult clients—both women and men—who experience emotional dysregulation, chronic stress, burnout, and the psychological effects of long-term physiological strain.
She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Jain (Deemed-to-be) University and is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Sports Nutrition professional. This multidisciplinary background enables her to understand mental health not only through the lens of cognition and behaviour, but also in relation to nervous system functioning, physical capacity, and the lived experience of the body. Her work is particularly relevant for individuals navigating hormonal transitions, where emotional symptoms are often misunderstood, minimised, or addressed without considering the body’s role.
In her clinical practice, Kavitha integrates a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Hypnotherapy, and NLP. Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all model, she tailors therapy to each client’s emotional patterns, nervous system capacity, and readiness for change.
A central focus of her work is emotional regulation—helping clients move beyond intellectual insight to develop the capacity to tolerate emotions, respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively, and rebuild a sense of internal safety. Many of the individuals she works with appear high-functioning externally but experience internal overwhelm, exhaustion, or recurring emotional patterns despite years of self-work.
Her approach is collaborative, structured, and practical. Therapy is not limited to symptom relief but is designed to build resilience, strengthen emotional boundaries, and create sustainable changes that extend into everyday life. She pays close attention to the influence of stress physiology, hormonal shifts, and embodied experience—factors that are often overlooked in traditional talk therapy.
Kavitha believes that healing is not only about understanding the past but also about expanding present-moment capacity—emotionally, mentally, and physically. Her work is grounded in clarity, evidence, and respect, while remaining sensitive to the complex demands of modern life.
